I'm really not good at blogging. I blog for a week and then don't write anything for months. oh well I will work on that soon. Once I finish this semester I will get y'all all caught up on my life-it really won't take that long cause not a whole lot has changed.

I have begun the adventure! After three grueling days of class and homework we have begun traveling. First stop salt lake city! We went to temple square watched the Joseph smith movie went to the top of the church office building, and the conference center. We have yet to hike ensign peak and have a night of plane flights...yippey!

Oh My my...
Due to an experience I just had today I decided to share with you some of my really funny now but really weird at the time experiences!
This will include a wedding reception, speed dating, and what has been titled the D&D date.
Speed Dating:
I have only tried it once at school with my roommates and because of this I may not ever try it again haha!
So it wasn't going bad until the second to last guy sat down. We introduced ourselves and then there was a little silence so I threw out a random question: What is your favorite kind of pizza? Simple question right? Rather than just telling me what his favorite kind of pizza is the guy said "Well if you went and bought me a pizza right now I would eat it no matter what kind it is. But in a couple weeks, when we are like making out and stuff I would tell you I don't like that kind of pizza." ....*searching mind for possible escape routes*...
If it was his goal to make the conversation really awkward he definitely accomplished that! Possibly the weirdest thing a guy has ever said to me. And any of you guys reading this PLEASE never say this kind of stuff to a girl you just barely met. Though if you do chances are the girl will find a reason to leave really soon...and if she doesn't...well you should probably be the one trying to find a reason to leave. haha.
D&D Date:
While in the AV I got asked on a date by a guys I danced with once at a YSA dance. Of course I said yes. I don't say no to first dates cause that would just be SUPER rude! Anyways it comes time to go on this date and I have no idea what we are even going to do for this date. Here is the lay out of what we did:
Got Subway
Went to city park to eat
played 2 games of bowling
played 2 games of pool
played in the arcade*
played ANOTHER game of bowling
played in the arcade AGAIN
went to In N Out just to get drinks sat and talked
got taken home.
Okay seriously I thought that date was NEVER going to END!!!! They picked me up some time around 7 I didn't get home until like 1:30 in the morning!!!
The * was the point in which they were debating about going to a movie and I said I didn't think I would be able to make it through a movie. My dates reply: that's okay I will just keep poking you to keep you awake. What?!!
Guys: when a girl you on a date with says something about being tired that's normally a hint that she wants to GO HOME!!!
The reason this is called the D&D date is my date obviously spends allot of time playing Dungeons and Dragons. I know this because we were talking about street names and he said "this guy that I...sometimes...occasionally play Dungeons and Dragons with live on (don't remember the name) street." Haha failed attempt at downplaying how much he plays that game. Later in the night he said a "bard" he knows played ukulele. Sorry buddy but I think you play that game allot.
but the one thing that made me REALLY wanna run out the door and walk home was when he mentioned how "he discovered the most interesting food combinations when he used to smoke pot ALLOT"
I'm not trying to be mean. I think it is funny how ridiculous this date was. And seriously I'm not exaggerating at all.
The Wedding Reception
Thanks to this experience I am infamous in my friend Marissa's family.
My sister's (now) mother-in-law was helping put together a wedding reception for an elderly woman in their ward. I went with my sister to help out. First, they asked me to do the lady's hair (I got grossed out cause it was pretty greasy). Then (with my sister and I in the room) proceeded to tell the ladies in the room that she went to Walmart earlier in the day with her fiance and they found what she should wear that night...she pulled out this leopard-print lacy short night gown and her fiance said "it would bring the cat out in her" I think my sister and I are permanently scarred.
Oh but there's more!
During the reception when the first dance came on this old(er) man walks up to the table and asked my sister's mother-in-law to dance. ...she had a cast on her leg! After she politely refused...he asked me to dance. And I not knowing any of the people there and assuming this was just a guy in their ward said yes. What I didn't know is he was a single old(er) guy, and he had a weird reputation in the ward.
So I danced with him. I couldn't tell what kind of dance he was doing so I looked down at our feet...one problem...I can't see them!!!! His belly was in the way. Yes he was dancing close enough to me where I was unable to see our feet!
Once the song ended and he released me I made a bee-line for my sister. I was intercepted by my friend Marissa's Uncle who put a hand on my shoulder and asked me "Do you feel violated??" Yes!
The next day I told Marissa about it. That night at dinner with her extended family this story was being related to their family with my title being "that POOR girl" Marissa said "that's my friend!!" HAHA!
So now I am infamous in her family.
yeah...go ahead laugh at my life.
No, seriously do. Thats why I wrote this :D

IT is coming!
*deep breath* (cause I'm about to drop a bomb on some people here)
I leave the AV in a week...yeah.
August 6th early-ish in the morning.
Not a whole lot of people know. Sorry. I didn't want that date looming over my life this summer. So I didn't tell a whole lot of people. It wasn't a secret. I would have told if someone asked. It just wasn't information I was going to share without good reason to. I figure having a week left in the AV is good reason. ...yep
Why?
I am going on a trip then to school at BYU-Idaho. The trip is for school. Its a Mormon/American Travel Study. Meaning I am going to spend a month traveling the East Coast starting in Virginia going all the way up to New York then across to Missouri. Its gonna be pretty dang sweet! For me this trip has been in the works for pretty close to a year. I get to go do all kinds of awesome stuff museums, memorials, monuments, MLB game in Chicago(White Sox), ...Phantom of the Opera *pause for dramatic emphasis* ON BROADWAY. That's right not just Broadway's Phantom, but watching it in New York City, NY, in a theater, on the street called Broadway!!! (haha I just made some girls jealous).
So...I plan on taking a bunch of pictures and keeping y'all updated on where I am.
Part of the reason I am even working on this Blog today:
1- I discovered my work computer will actually let me work on it
2- I need to have some kind of Preface before I leave on the trip
3- I get way too bored for my own good.
I would love to actually know that people other than my sisters are reading this so make comments and stuff like that.
side note: Isn't modern society weird? I mean we rely SO much on social network sites! Its kinda weird. Its to the point where who comments on your Facebook, and the ratio between what you post and your friends comments can have an impact on your self esteem! We are weird.
Anyways, I would like to know others are reading this. I know my sisters are...but...if its just them then I might as well be talking to myself. No offense I love you Kris and Shay...but you either already know this stuff or you will in our eminent phone conversations.
You can like it, make a comment, or even actually follow it(if you have an account and whatnot), I don't care. Please humor me.
Well that's all I got for now. TTFN!

Fun Facts about...Me!
Well I have seen a big change in myself since I have been home. I am pleased with the change. Well I don't even know if I really changed or if I just discovered things about myself I didn't know before...probably both. Anyways I have decided to share some things that I have discovered about me.
1. I LOVE movies!! Its almost obsessive...its a sickness. Seriously once you've been around me for long enough you will notice how bad it is. One word out of a whole sentence someone says will remind me of a line from a movie. In conversations I will randomly throw in movie quotes. Its gotten to the point where people expect me to quote movies.
I quote Megamind the most. I love that movie!! Ive watched it so much that I am no longer allowed to watch it in a group setting...I will quote the whole movie. I'm not exaggerating. I'm pretty sure I can quote the whole thing.
2. I'm an artist. I paint and draw. I'm decent. I like to show people what I can do but I don't like them to gush over it. Seriously I'm not that good. If I'm not looking at a picture of something I'm useless. I'll admit I can do a freaking awesome Wolverine...well that is now...before he looked more like a gremlin or troll. Back to my point I like to show people and I like to get compliments about it but only to a certain point. sometime after someone says "Oh my gosh Kylee that is SO good!" I get uncomfortable. It's dumb, and pretty redundant, but that's just how I am.
3. I like to make up my own adventures. I have found that times that you have the most fun is when your just making stuff up as you go. Spontaneity is my friend. I like it allot. I got bored one time grabbed a friend, glass bottled soda, 90's music and a random road and ended up having a 3 hour adventure with a ridiculous amount of dirt-road-detours when I had left telling my Mom I was just going to Walmart.
4.I like to be different. I would say unusual but what is usual? what is normal? Is there such a thing?
Anyways if you think about it just my having red hair is a genetic oddity(I have been told that the gene for red hair was a mutation). So why should I be anything other than an oddity of my own?
If one was to browse through the music I have on my ipod you would understand. So I sometimes TRY to do things people do not expect me to do. Part of the reason I decided to learn to play the Ukulele is because its not typical.
This leads to my biggest Pet Peeve...
5. I HATE when people try to tell me why I do something or that I will do/like something. Seriously I hate it. I don't get angry allot but this is a sure fire way to make me unhappy with you. Honestly I cant even explain shy I do some of the things I do and No one on earth knows me as well as I do. So there is no way that you can tell me why I do something.
In case you do not understand what I mean here is an anonymous example of conversations in which someone who triggers this Pet Peeve...
(Dumb Dude) I love MacDonald's. I live off the dollar menu. Their food is so good.[I'm paraphrasing]
(Me) Eww I hate MacDonald's their food is gross and fake.
(Dumb Dude) Well when you live on your own you will love MacDonald's.
(annoyed Me) I DO live on my own. An I make my own food.[thank you very much]
I could go on but I think you get the point.
Moving on...
6. I still like to read young adult fiction. I read other stuff but this kind of fiction is my favorite. I think its more fun.
7. I am a chronic story-teller. I tell stories ALL the time. If record was kept of everything I have ever said the most common phrase would probably be "This one time" ha ha. Bu t not only do I tell my stories but I remember stories other people tell me and I will tell those stories too! If I end up trying to tell you a story I have told you before just let me know in a nice way.
8. I tend to have the inability to control my facial expressions. Which is funny at times because I can make some interesting faces but other times(especially when I'm tired) I make a face but it doesn't match what I am thinking or feeling. What I mean is dirty looks tend to wiggle their way out of me when I am not really needing to make a dirty look. So if you mention it and I say huh? it usually means it was not a genuine dirty look.
9. My randomness pleases and surprises me. Like I said earlier, I cant even explain why I do some of the things I do. I genuinely do or say random things ALL the time. These can range from hilarious made up phrases, to saying completely unrelated things in the middle of a conversation. Let me start with random phrases...
"Hot Chocolate is one of my handicaps"
"I'm the big wheel to this tricycle."
"well...that's a Whoopsie"
"You just crapped on my nachos"
"If poor ghetto kids eat watermelon then rich kids eat strawberries."
"yeah but...okay I'm done thinking about buts"
"can you get me a fork"
"I'm just gonna go and hope...I need to hope faster!!"
"that was one of my favorite things to do as a kid." "Shrums?!" "no not what I meant!!"
...And all of these come with really good memories and Stories(of course). Another good example...the other day I got bored at work....I wrote an Infomercial for me. Yes. Infomercial. Who does that?! ...Apparently I do. I was very proud of myself at the time. So I am about as random as it gets. When I run out of things to say I will say the first thing that comes to mind last time I did the word was Muffins. Its a strategy I use for keeping chat conversations going when I have nothing else to do at work.
10. Conversely, as random as I may be. There is often a intended purpose to what I do or say. Usually this applies to what I say because I don't yell at people. While that may seem completely unrelated its true. I don't yell at people, in fact, very few people can even tell when I am mad. Because of this, I will say/do things I when I'm mad at someone that I intend to be mean, but everyone thinks I am joking! At one point it was a convenient coincidence that my roommates and I jokingly would yell at each other to shut-up and call each other devil-women...haha!
Well...though I have plenty to add I think this is good enough for right now. You more than likely just learned a bunch about me that you didn't know before! Congrats!

Blogging
So I have finally decided to just write about what's going on.
By the way I just realized I am living up to the title of this blog pretty well so far. Haha!
Lets see got back to the AV in April, went to 4 missionary farewells and 1 homecoming, went hiking, went to Magic Mountain(the Sixflags variety), decided to learn to play the Ukulele, babysat some dogs, went to Arizona, met new friends, jumped off a cliff, tied a quilt, read a book, and worked.
Thats the watered down version.
When I got home I made a LONG list of things I want to accomplish before August. Im not sure I have quite finished anything on that list actually. I am trying though! I think the thing I am farthest on is the quilt. Which by the way has been a work in progress for the majority of my life. Now dont go thinking it is going to be some awesome piece of stichery. Cause its not. It just has been a seriously neglected project. Now that it is tied all I have to do is sew the outside edges and I'm done! The only problem is getting around to actually doing that. Haha!
Lets see...work. People ask me what it is I do. The best I can come up with is I am a office slave. That is a tad bit extreme but I dont really have anything I do regularly I do whatever they tell me to do and when I finish that I wait until they find something else for me to do. Now this is due to the fact when they hired me they expected me to be staying for at least a year...yeah NOT happening! Apparently when they looked at my resume they overlooked the fact that the school i go to is in IDAHO!!! They have been trying to get me to stay since I got there but there is no way that is happening.
From this job I have discovered that I would go absolutely NUTTS if I had an office job for the rest of my life. There is just something about knowing that I would walk in a building and sit in front a computer for eight hours a day for an undetermined amount of time that just makes me cringe. Plus my building only has windows in the lobby which adds to the effect of being locked inside a box. Anyways office jobs are just not for me. I can only do it when there is an end in sight.
Im getting tired so I am gonna stop for tonight but I will post more later (including pictures!).
